Each year, Research Matters picks a small team of researchers?– at least one from each of Ontario's 21 publicly assisted universities?– to participate directly in the Research Matters initiative. Researchers are chosen for the excellence and variety of their research, as well as for their enthusiasm for engaging with non-academic audiences. These researchers participate in public events across the province, sit down with government and business leaders, and take part in other Research Matters activities.?
