God Bless The USA

Poems For America 2
by Grace  Tolson

A TRIBUTE TO
PRESIDENT
GEORGE W. BUSH

Bin Laden you sure picked the wrong man
when you decided to take on George W. Bush.
I watch him become the man he is today,
when he was told the Trade Center had been hit,
I saw him grasp the nettle you thrust at him,
he crushed it in his hand and the light blazed in
his eyes, my God they've hurt America, I'll
fight them till I die.
He'll beat you bin Laden, don't bother to hide,
he'll find you no matter where you go, he is an
invincible foe, your match you have most
definitely met, President Bush won't ever forget,
how you killed Americans, people from many
lands, he'll hunt you down, like the vermin that
you are, Bush will fight you till he dies.
Lookout Saddam, he'll get you too, be always
afraid of the old red, white and blue, Bush
represents that flag and that flag him, he'll get
you Saddam, never doubt it, he'll stop you from
running wild and the evil that you bring like bin
Laden. George W. Bush will fight you both to
the end, don't rest Saddam George W. Bush
is on his way.
You both thought you were clever, that you
could take America on, and spread death
and destruction in your wake. Fools you are
that should think America would fail to stop
you, let you kill and destroy as you would if
America was not there. But more still your
nemesis was waiting in America, he is
George W. Bush and I bid you both beware.

OLD GLORY

America remembers, America looks back
and sees again the planes that came and
turned the world black, the black of mourning
was everywhere, but the old, red, white and
blue, Old Glory, you were still there.
So many lives, so many broken hearts, it
hurt so much not to know if those we loved
were alive or dead, we cried aloud in our pain
yet America, the old red, white and blue,
Old Glory, you were still there.
Things will never be the same, we lost too
much that day, the world joined in our
mourning, for all the lives that were gone,
they joined us in tears, yet the old red,
white and blue, Old Glory, you were there.

AMERICA

America, you shine so bright,
lending the world your light,
you lead the world to freedom,
beneath the Stars and Stripes.
There are some who wish you
ill, but though they may make
you cry, fail they always will,
America, you, shall always win.
They tried on 9/11, and they well
may try again, but your people
are so brave and good, and will
fight, should terror comes again.
No country does it better, no
place on this Earth, can show
the way to freedom, can fight as
hard and true as you, America.
Far off in time, when history turns
to look back, they will see you,
America, and see the lead you
gave, to us all, when terror came.
America, we salute you, from all
around the world, as you help us
fight, to bring peace and freedom,
and right, to every part of our world.
