QGM RW Emily Smurgles
Emily was 4 months old when she
joined the family.
She is a black and white Maine Coon (spay). She weighs 14 1/2 lbs
I researched the Maine Coon breed before getting Emily.
They are family oriented and she follows me thru out the house.
Whatever I may be doing she is there ready to assist. Maine Coons
are not fully mature till 3 to 4 years of age. They get along well
with other family pets and are real clowns.
She tried playing with Muffin my little Yorkie and that
didn't work due to their size difference. I realized Emily
needed a playmate that was more her size. Sept is her birth month
and for her 1st birthday we got her a white Maine Coon. I named her
Molly and she is 6 months older than Emily. When Emily first saw
her new friend Molly, she looked really shocked and started to hiss
at her. Within 3 days they were best friends. They have a great
time playing and chasing each other thru the house. Emily is the
boss and Molly accepts it. The best news is that Emily never bothers
Muffin anymore and that makes Muffin happy.

EMILY
Tell me true have you ever met, a Maine Coon
Who looks as majestic and debonair as me
Do your fingers itch to reach out and stroke
The beautiful black and white fur your eyes see.
Don't be shy, I already know how you feel
I'm hard to resist, yes I know, yes its true
My markings have always been much admired
Come stroke, I'll purr and not bite you.
My name is Emily, the name's pretty like me
They call me, would you believe, the Boss
Because I try to keep order among the cats
Who else would do it if I didn't do that.
